"The boys LOVED the group. At the final session they kept asking if they could join it again next time or if they could keep coming so that was totally a success and I saw SO much growth in them it was so cool to watch! I really loved the simplicity of your activities and the ability to do different variations of the activities if one wanted to."

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in
individual, couples and family therapy and founder of Rancho
Cucamonga Therapist. We are proud to provide these services in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Born and raised in Rancho Cucamonga, I am honored to give back to the community that is so near and dear to my heart. I graduated at the top of my class from Alta Loma High School. Directly after High School, I continued to stay local, and completed my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with a Minor in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino. I knew from a very young age that I was a "helper", and needed to use my passion to serve those in need. I continued to pursue an advanced degree at Pepperdine University with aspirations to become a therapist. I graduated with High Honors in 2004 with a Master's of Art in Clinical Psychology Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. As a married woman, and a working mother and step-mother, I have learned to balance parenthood and a fulfilling career. I have spent much of my career working with foster youth and their families, treating childhood abuse and neglect, in both the public and non-public sector.
Among my areas of expertise are treatment of depression and anxiety, couples counseling, parenting, and adolescent therapy. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy techniques. I have completed Level 1 & 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Counseling.
In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, I also work with a variety of EAP insurance beneficiaries providing solution-focused, brief therapy, to help clients manage stress, and balance work and home life.
I also enjoy providing Clinical Supervision to Marriage and Family Therapist Trainees/Interns and Associate Clinical Social Workers since 2010.
I am a compassionate, direct and interactive therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address their treatment goals. I offer a highly personalized approach, tailored to each client's specific and unique needs. I work with each individual to help them identify and build upon their strengths. I believe that the person is not the problem, the problem is the problem. I collaborate with my client's and help them step away from problem saturated and oppressive stories, to discovering and/or creating new untold stories which include preferred accounts of their lives, hopes, values, dreams and relationships.
If you are ready to change the effects problems are having on your life, your journey to self-empowerment and freedom is just a phone call away!
