Jared Garcia, LCSW
As a Rancho Cucamonga native, I am dedicated to serving the community that has given me so much over the years. I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Social Work with a minor in Sociology from California State University Fresno. Immediately after graduating, I was accepted to the advanced standing program at the University of Washington, where I graduated with my Masters Degree in Social Work. Being a new parent, my husband and I are constantly adapting to new changes each day. This has given me new perspective on life.
Since working at a community health clinic, I have experience working with the LGBTQ community’s unique stressors challenges and struggles. Also, being a hospice social worker for 10 years, I have extensive experience with the challenges of adjusting to chronic illnesses, grief and loss and relationship conflicts. Many clients that I have served also struggle with depression and anxiety.
You can expect me to be the type of therapist that is engaged, realistic and dedicated to your goals and success. I utilize an eclectic approach that encompasses CBT, mindfulness, solution focused, reality centered and others. I look forward to being apart of your positive changes that give you fulfillment & success.
